Txai Suruí is a Brazilian indigenous activist and leader of the Paiter Suruí people from Rondônia, the daughter of Almir Suruí and Ivaneide Bandeira. She holds a degree in Law, founded the Indigenous Youth Movement of Rondônia (Movimento da Juventude Indígena de Rondônia), and coordinates the Kanindé Ethno-Environmental Defense Association (Associação de Defesa Etnoambiental Kanindé). She gained global recognition by being the only Brazilian to speak at the opening of COP26 in 2021, and was elected to the UN advisory group on climate change in 2025.
