Roberto Menescal is a musician, composer, producer, and one of the founders of bossa nova, alongside names such as João Gilberto and Tom Jobim. He became known for hits like O Barquinho and for his smooth, melodic style. In addition to being a composer, he played an important role as a music producer, launching and producing MPB artists. He is one of the most influential figures in Brazilian music since the 1960s.
