Piratá Waurá is a teacher, photographer, and filmmaker from the Wauja People. He lives in the Piyulaga Village in the Xingu Indigenous Territory, Mato Grosso, Brazil. He holds a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature with a research focus on visual anthropology, ethnographic records, and audiovisual media (Interethnic Faculty of the State University of Mato Grosso/UNEMAT).
