For more than five decades, as a non-profit organization, ABMN has exercised its presence as a mediator and promoter of the most modern concepts and practices in Marketing and Business Management, contributing to business development in Brazil.
Established in 1971 as ABM – Brazilian Marketing Association, the institution was born and became known for various initiatives, programs, and projects to ensure companies and public institutions had access to Marketing knowledge at the most advanced of its frontiers.
In 1999, considering the installation of ethical concerns regarding Marketing applications in society at large, the ABM's board of directors decided to add the expression "Business" to its name, reinforcing the still-current concept that "Marketing is at the service of managers for the full achievement of their business."
In practice, the entity's efforts are directed along two vectors: 1) towards active professionals – at their various decision-making levels; 2) within the academic community – in higher education – contributing to the training of future professionals. And always with the commitment to promote information and foster integration, creating a favorable environment for the exchange of experiences and knowledge of new ideas.
The efforts and work of the Association's Board of Directors and staff have been in the relentless pursuit of identifying, maintaining, and disseminating information, success stories, and relevant topics that allow its members and the market to reflect and evolve on such subjects.
