With Master's degrees in Literature from the Sorbonne (Paris) and Social Sciences from New York University (NYU), she has worked for over 18 years in the Third Sector and the cultural field in Brazil. She was the director of the Paraty International Literary Festival (Flip), founded Fabriqueta de Histórias—an innovative creative writing project—and served at the Culture Secretariat of the São Paulo City Hall. She is currently the Executive Director of Projeto Paradiso.
