She started her film career in 1998 as a production assistant, moving on to assistant director for American features filmed in Brazil in 2000. In that same year, she began production on her first feature-length documentary, O Cinema Brasileiro no Século XX (Brazilian Cinema in the 20th Century), which won awards at several festivals. This was followed by two more feature documentaries, a fictional short film, and a webchannel, all of which were also award-winning, in addition to various corporate and music videos. She is also the author of 3 books.
