Fabio Mostof

Daniel Borenstein is an expert in film restoration and post-production. A graduate of the École Louis-Lumière, he began his career in research and development for synthetic imagery, working at INA, Thomson Digital Image/Ex Machina, and in Los Angeles in the field of special effects and digital animation. Starting in the 1990s, he held technical management positions in post-production and restoration laboratories, such as Vidéosystem, GTC, and B-Mac. From 2012 to 2018, he directed the Laboratory/Restoration department at the French Film Archives (CNC), coordinating a team of 16 people and contributing to the development of technical standards for the CST (Superior Technical Commission for Image and Sound). Since 2019, he has been overseeing the restoration of films from the Pierre Braunberger catalog at the production company Les Films du Jeudi.
