Marcelo Gomes
Position Director and Screenwritter
He was born in Recife, Pernambuco. His contact with cinema began through a film club he created in his hometown. He then graduated in Film from the University of Bristol, England, and directed a series of award-winning short films. His first feature film, Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures, premiered at Cannes in 2005 (Un Certain Regard) and won the French Ministry of Education Award. The film has received over 50 other awards worldwide.
