Marcel Vieira

Marcel Vieira is a professor in the Film and Audiovisual program at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), holds a PhD in Communication from Fluminense Federal University (UFF), and is a CNPq PQ-2 productivity researcher. He is one of the leaders of the Screenplay Studies Research Group: Archives, Processes, and Cartographies, where he conducts research on screenplay studies, creative processes, audiovisual dramaturgy, and production and development modes in cinema and television. He is the author and editor of books and several articles published in academic journals and collections, with work dedicated especially to audiovisual narrative, television fiction, screenwriting, and creative processes. Parallel to his academic work, he acts as a screenwriter, novelist, and poet, combining research, creation, and professional practice in literature and audiovisuals.
