Juliana Vicente is a director, producer, screenwriter, and founder of Preta Portê Filmes. She directed the Netflix Original Racionais: Das Ruas de São Paulo para o Mundo, which reached number one in Brazil and the Top 6 globally, and Diálogos com Ruth de Souza, which won her Best Director at the Rio Film Festival. As a co-producer of La Tierra y la Sombra, she was part of the team that won four awards at the Cannes Film Festival, including the Caméra d'Or. She also directed the opening film for the Brazilian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, which received the Golden Lion. Juliana creates bold and impactful works that blend fiction and documentary.
