Independent distributor since 1987, when he founded Imovision. French, born in 1948, with a degree in psychology, he arrived in Brazil in 1978 and settled in São Paulo. Through Imovision, he released the first Iranian films in Brazil (The White Balloon and Gabbeh), the Dogme 95 films (The Celebration, The Idiots, and Italian for Beginners), and other titles such as the Danish Dancer in the Dark (Palme d'Or at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival), the Chinese In the Mood for Love, the French 8 Women, and the Finnish The Man Without a Past. In 2005, he also began investing in exhibition with the opening of Reserva Cultural Paulista, a four-screen miniplex on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo. In August 2016, he opened another three-screen complex in Niterói (RJ). In April 2021, he expanded his operations into streaming services by launching the 'Reserva Imovision' platform.
