Peretti studied films and literature in Paris VIII university, France, and Williams College, USA. He has worked for many years in documentary production. He joined Sunny Side of the Doc in 2002. At Sunny Side, he was in charge of the editorial line. As such, besides the main Sunny Side event in France, he also organized the many Sunny Side seminars in North and South America as well as Europe and Asia. Since February 2026, Peretti is an international expert working for festivals and markets.
