Felipe Sholl
Position Director, producer and screenwriter
He was a screenwriter and associate producer for Manas (2024), awarded at the Venice Film Festival, and was part of the writing room for an upcoming Netflix fiction series currently in production. He directed the feature film Ruas da Glória (2024), which screened at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the 2025 Rio Film Festival.
As a screenwriter, he has written 15 released films and 2 currently in production, including Il Traditore (Cannes 2019), Casa de Antiguidades (Cannes 2020), Campo Grande, Hoje (winner of 5 Candango awards, including Best Screenplay and Best Film), Descontrole (2025, slated for release), and an upcoming feature about Renato Russo. He has also written for series such as O Arcanjo Renegado (2020, Globoplay), Vítimas Digitais (GNT), and How to Be a Carioca (Disney/Star+).
He began his career with the short film Tá (2007), which won the Teddy Award at the Berlin International Film Festival. As a director, his debut feature, Fala Comigo (2016), won Best Film and Best Actress at the Rio Film Festival, was screened at BAFICI and the Havana Film Festival, and participated in residencies at Cannes, the Berlinale, and Buenos Aires Lab.
