Ana Rieper is a documentary filmmaker with studies in Geography, Anthropology, and Cinema. Her films address social issues through musical narratives. She is the director and screenwriter of the feature films Vou Rifar meu Coração, Na Veia do Rio, Clementina, Nada Será Como Antes – a música do Clube da Esquina, and Paraíso; the mid-length film Sissi; and the short films Saara, Veluda, and Mataram meu Gato. Massa Funkeira is the seventh feature film under her direction.
