Ana Flavia Cavalcanti is a multi-disciplinary artist working across performing arts, performance, and writing. Her debut film, the short RÃ, had its world premiere at the Berlinale and subsequently won the Candango for Best Film at the 52nd Brasília Film Festival. RÃ is based on a memory of Ana's from when she was six years old and ate frog meat for the first time.

Recently, Ana Flavia played Marlene in the Globo telenovela Garota do Momento, and she can also be seen in the film Baby by Marcelo Caetano. Ana Flavia is preparing to star as the protagonist Rafaela in the feature film Marés de Sangue, directed by Marco André, which will be filmed in Belém do Pará. Ana Flavia Cavalcanti also directed the feature film Bocaina, which portrays the lives of two sisters living isolated in a countryside home in rural Minas Gerais. The arrival of a stranger and the passage of satellites on an unusual night transform the dimensions of their lives.
