Alex Medeiros

Alex Medeiros is the Head of Fiction Content at Globoplay and Globo Filmes, responsible for commissioning, curating, and overseeing the development and production of series such as “Dissident Archangel”, “Perfect Days”, “Emergency 53”, and “The Others”, telenovelas such as “Hidden Truths 2”, “All the Flowers”, and “Love Is a Knife”; and films such as “Vitória”, “Marta” and the Oscar-winning “I’m Still Here”. For five years, he also led Globoplay's documentary division, overseeing projects such as “The Brazilian Mafia”, “Territorries”, and “The Evandro Case”. He is also a director, producer, and screenwriter, having written the scripts for the series “Living on a Razor’s Edge”, selected for Berlinale and Canneseries and nominated for an Emmy. Alex has been with Globo since 2001. Previously, he was responsible for the development of series and formats at Estúdios Globo and for the acquisitions division at Globosat.

Before Globo, Alex was at The Walt Disney Company in the USA as Acquisitions Manager for Disney Channel Latin America, prospecting scripts and formats for global acquisitions.
