"Rosa - A narradora de outros Brasis": debate followed by screening
Rosa Magalhães, an artist who won the title of Rio carnival champion seven times, is the central figure of the documentary "Rosa - A Narradora de Outro Brasis", directed by Valmir Moratelli in collaboration with Libário Nogueira. The film follows the challenging journey of Rosa Magalhães in her last parade at Paraíso do Tuiuti in 2023, exploring themes such as sexism and prejudice faced by a woman who leads the world of carnival. The documentary also captures exciting scenes at Sapucaí, the iconic stage of Rio's carnival.
