Doctor in Art at UNB and Master in History at UFRGS. He was coordinator of Memory, History and Heritage at the State Secretariat for Culture of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and manager of cultural facilities in the state. He also served on the Culture Committee of the Chamber of Deputies between 2016 and 2017. He was national secretary of Culture of the political party PT, Culture coordinator of Lula's presidential campaign in 2022 and executive coordinator of the Culture Working Group of the Transition Cabinet.
