Barbara Cunha is a screenwriter, director, partner and executive producer at 99 Produções and Coentro Produções, postgraduate in Image Studies and member of the Projeto Paradiso talent network. She studied with Béla Tárr and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Activist for gender equality in the audiovisual sector, at + Mulheres Lideranças. She also works on the Northeast Board of API - Association of Independent Brazilian Audiovisual Producers.
