These days filmmakers are swimming in murky waters, navigating erratic and diverse distribution models. For many, streaming is where it is, but that's not always feasible. Meanwhile, niche distribution and regional filmmaking are on the rise, while self-distribution remains a tricky option. What is a media maker to do - innovatively, legally, cunningly - from social and star power to finding the right distributor?
