Fabio Mostof

Partner at Grupo Estação, an art film exhibition circuit in Brazil, she is director of selection, executive director, and international relations at the Rio Festival, one of the most important in Latin America. She studied journalism and cinema at the Universidade Federal Fluminense and there she founded the Cineclube PEBA, alongside Marcelo Mendes. Later, at Cineclube Macunaíma, at ABI, she met Nelson Krumholz and Adhemar Oliveira, and from these film club activities, Cineclube Estação Botafogo was born in 1985. With quick stints in journalism, as an intern at O ​​Globo and Jornal do Brasil, she took on the role of journalist responsible for the publication Tabu, published by Estação from 1986 to 1990. She also participated in the expansion of the group and the creation of Espaço Unibanco. At Grupo Estação, she was involved in the organization of international events - such as Mostra Banco Nacional and later Mostra Rio, which with the merger with Rio Cine Festival became Festival do Rio. She also organized retrospectives of directors such as Ingmar Bergman, François Truffaut, Louis Malle, Nelson Pereira dos Santos and Jean-Luc Godard. Today she is also responsible for the distributor Pagu Pictures and has released titles such as Aos teus olhos (2017) by Carolina Jabor and Sequestro râmpago (2018) by Tata Amaral.
