Among other positions, he was Secretary of Cultural Economy at the Ministry of Culture, Deputy International Advisor at the Ministry of Justice, Consultant at the World Bank and Legal Manager at the Roberto Marinho Foundation. He is a professor of the Professional Master's Degree in Political Economy of Culture at UFRGS and the Postgraduate Course in Intellectual Property Law at PUC-Rio.
