The Rio de Janeiro Int’l Film Festival is the biggest film events in the world and one of the largest showcases of Latin cinema. For the past few editions, the festival’s business section, the RioMarket, has increasingly consolidated its status as one of the main gathering place for producers, sales agents, distributors, broadcasters and many other industry professionals from all over the world.

Continuing in its goal to provide an ideal environment for the discussion and fostering of Latin cinema, the RioMarket is proud to announce yet another program: the I Annual Latin American Feature Film Project Competition.

The competition was established in association with the Latin American Training Center – LATC and the Rio de Janeiro Int’l Film Festival with the purpose of discovering new talents, create new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Latin American film industry.

The competition has the additional support of the University of Miami and FIA & RED IDEA, among other fine institutions.

For the first time in Latin America, a competition will provide screenwriters and producers with the opportunity to present their work to industry professionals during a major international film festival.
