Currently, Cecilia Mendonça serves as Vice President and General Manager of Disney Channels Latin America, The Walt Disney Company Latin America, being responsible for leveraging a fast-growing portfolio of brands, providing more brand-focused leadership and meeting an increased commitment to delivering high quality creative content to kids and families in Latin America. 

Previously, she has served as Director, Production (fiction) and on-air promotions & instertitials of The Walt Disney Company Latin America. Thus, besides heading local fiction productions —in short and long formats—, she oversees the look and feel of Disney Channels in Latin America, and ensures that the brand identity is represented accurately on screen and in its contents. Mendonça is also responsible for the on-air strategy of commercials including Disney institutional promotions, synergy promotions of all Disney´s lines of business and commercial spots scheduling.

Cecilia Mendonça has served as on-air promotions and interstitials Director at The Walt Disney Company Latin America since 2006. She is also part of the team that led Disney Channel to become the number 1 Latin America cable channel in the region, not only among kids, but also across households and among viewers of all ages. She actively contributed —through the department she leads— to launch Disney Channel Brazil and also helped to launch in the Latin American region: Playhouse Disney Channel in 2008 and Disney XD in 2009; and later that same year, Disney Channel HD, in Brazil. In addition, she was in charge of Disney Channel´s rebranding. Her department earned more than 40 international awards, and La casa de Playhouse Disney receivedthe most prestigious Argentine accolade given to a cable television production: Martín Fierro award for Outstanding Kids´ Program.

Cecilia Mendonça joined The Walt Disney Company Brazil in 2001 as on-air senior producer and served as Senior Manager between 2002 and 2004 in the On-Air Promotions department for Latin America. In 2004, she also became responsible for interstitials and on-air promotions scheduling. In early 2010, Mendonça was appointed Head of all fiction productions.

Prior to joining The Walt Disney Company, Mendonça served in a variety of high-level capacities in multinational entertainment companies such as Nickelodeon Latin America and Sky Latin America. 

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Mendonça studied Film and Social Communication at universities both in the United States and Brazil.
